POBL is an AI-driven platform that generates realistic, dynamic information injects for defence and security training exercises. It transforms live, virtual, and constructive exercise data into coherent synthetic narratives across social, informational, and operational domains.

What This Venture Aims to Solve
POBL addresses a specific challenge within defence training environments. Modern defence exercises depend on realistic information environments, yet most injects are still manually authored, static, and labour-intensive.
Exercise control teams struggle to scale complexity, respond to live events, and maintain narrative coherence without large staffing overheads. Mockups take hours or days, small changes cause friction, and the result is reduced realism and immersion.
What We're Building
POBL transforms live exercise activity into coherent, dynamic information outputs. It automatically generates synthetic media, reports, and narrative injects driven directly by exercise data.
High-level capabilities:
- Event-driven inject generation linked to exercise activity
- Modular architecture compatible with Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) environments
- Offline and locally deployable AI suitable for secure environments
- Human-in-the-loop moderation by design
The result is more immersive exercises, faster response to live events, lower EXCON burden, and greater repeatability at scale.
Current Phase Work
POBL has already undergone substantial development, supported by £250,000 of funding from the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA). That investment enabled the delivery of a functioning MVP, validated technical feasibility, and demonstrated integration within complex training environments.
We are currently:
- Refining the platform for operational deployment
- Exploring live exercise adoption opportunities
- Preparing for procurement alignment
- Developing scalable delivery models

Why This Venture Exists
POBL exists because the challenge it addresses appears across multiple defence organisations and allied nations. Many exercise control teams face the same friction and inefficiency, and existing approaches rely on high-overhead manual processes.
By approaching the problem with AI-assisted generation and human oversight, POBL explores what next-generation exercise information environments can look like — reducing cost and improving realism simultaneously.
